Easter's been warm and sunny

The Easter holiday has been glorious. Lots of warm days and no cold weather to speak of, and only showers.
The grass has greened up so you can't see the stripes anymore!
We've taken up some of the grass near the house to widen the border but it's hard work and the soil just below the turf is very stoney.
The rhododendron is beginning to flower and the blue flowered weed alongside it complements it well.
The forget me nots are taking over! I had to pull some up today.
The border next to the new fence is coming along.
And the pots are still giving good value for money.
The difficult shady spot under the birch is looking the most colourful it's ever been.

Spring continues to spring

Not much work in the garden this week but Eric has mowed the lawn which is now recovering from its stripes seems a bit greener all round. The forget-me-nots are still blooming nicely and quite a number of shrubs are coming into leaf including the Cornus. The Amelanchier is looking beautiful and even the Euphorbia looks good against the forget-me-nots. Jezz next door has taken down the fence between us and him along the kitchen and my poor Clematis Rebecca is suffering once more from having the fence removed.
